Thames Ditton Area Guide

A picturesque town centre with riverside views bursting with independent shops, restaurants and pubs that has retained its heritage charm whilst offering great transport links to London.
The Property scene
Thames Ditton has a wide variety of homes on offer, including Tudor-style houses, Georgian buildings, and Victorian terraces. The town's High Street is a conservation area, and many of the buildings date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. There are also a number of charming cottages, perfect for those looking for a smaller, more characterful property.
Whilst many of the homes in Thames Ditton retain a historic charm, there are also a range of flats, contemporary townhouses and apartments on offer from modern developments to conversions of period properties, especially around the desirable Giggs Hill Green area.

Thames Ditton is packed with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants with its heritage high street a real hot spot offering florists, gift shops, an independent bookshop and delicatessens.
For pub people, The Albany and Ye Olde Swan pubs offer riverside dining whilst The George is nestled in the heart of the village.
Transport
Thames Ditton benefits from excellent transport links with frequent train services to London Waterloo taking around 30 minutes.
It is also well connected by bus and train to nearby towns such as Kingston-upon-Thames, Surbiton and Wimbledon.
Located close to the A3, Thames Ditton also provides good motorway links for travelling further afield.
Thames Ditton is located in a beautiful part of Surrey, with many scenic cycling and walking routes in the area. Some commuters choose to cycle or walk to work in London or nearby towns, particularly during the summer months.
Schools
Thames Ditton has plenty of excellent schools from the Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated Thames Ditton Infant school to Tolworth Girls School and Sixth form.
In nearby Kingston there are two ‘outstanding’ grammar schools: Tiffin School and The Tiffin Girls school. There are also private education options including Weston Green school, a co-educational Preparatory, and Surbiton High School.
Kisimul School (Woodstock House) is an independent special school for children and young people from ages eight to 19 with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.
